Finally saw Radioactive Sago’s ‘Wasak Na Wasak’ video last Sunday on Myx (Yeh, I watch Myx; so what?) and I liked it a lot. It kinda sucked that the lyrics on the screen covered the ‘subtitles,’ but the whole retro feel of the video rocked.
But what totally bowled me over was the video’s homage to one of the most sublime jokes in Pinoy cinematic history—the chacha/marcha joke from Chiquito’s ‘Mang Kepweng.’ (However, I have this impression that there is at least one other ‘Mang Kepweng’ movie. I forget now if the chacha/marcha joke was in the same movie as that other joke where Chiquito sang the ‘Santa Maria’ song. They could even be in the same funeral scene, but I’m not too sure. Chiquito’s IMDB page was not very enlightening; this blog, however, suggests there are at least two ‘Mang Kepweng’ movies. Could someone please enlighten me on this?)

im not really sure on this but i think i've seen more than 1 mang kepweng movie although i did some research and i think there is ony 1 movie of mang kepweng. im not really sure.

Marami ang Mang Kepweng films. at least 3 yata Mang Kepweng 1, Mang Kepweng Final Conflict at Mang Kepweng en Son. Yung chacha at marcha sa libing scene ni Bayani Casimiro yata sinasabi mo and i think that scene was from Estong Tutong ( very very funny film and available now in vcd sa atin). Yung sa Mang Kepweng ay yung libing ni Piling na kinanta ni To-chiqui yung "Santa Maria" song.
